2025 Yizkor

Yizkor Elohim (Memorial)

The Yizkor service asks God to remember those we mourn and to grant them proper rest. The word Yizkor is Hebrew for "remember." For many, the service represents a kind of pact; by remembering our parents, we ensure that we will, in turn, be remembered by those who follow us. Some believe that reciting Yizkor can help promote a peaceful rest for that departed soul. Also, we remember loved ones by the acts of loving-kindness we perform in this world.

In keeping with Springhill Avenue Temple tradition, we invite you to list below the names of people you wish to have memorialized. Since we read the names aloud,we encourage you to attend the Yizkor service to personally memorialize your loved ones. Please include your telephone # in case we need to verify spelling or pronunciation.

PLEASE PRINT OR TYPE THE NAMES YOU WISH TO HAVE MEMORIALIZED (if a name is difficult to pronounce, please write it phonetically to assist the Readers)

We ask that Members please submit names of family; and we ask Non-Members to make a small contribution of $18 for each name to be read.

For your names to be included, this form must reach us no later than
September 24, 2025.
